The Magneto-Opto-Electronics group (Principal Investigator: Prof. Hua-Shu Hsu (許華書)) is a research group in the Department of Applied Physics at the National Pingtung University, Taiwan. Our research focuses on the development and physical characterization of new functional materials with novel spin-polarized band structures that induce desirable photophysical properties, especially for magneto-optical effects, such as magneto-absorption and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) for magneto-optoelectronics applications.
In those fields, the group has made contributions in recent to:
1) MCD manipulation, for instance, using spin-polarized current or by charge accumulation.
